Job summary

Jannus Inc. seeks a Donations Specialist in Boise to support refugee resettlement by soliciting and managing household donations and coordinating with volunteers and partners. You’ll handle donor communications, maintain records, and coordinate item pickups and delivery to refugee homes.

You will load furnishings for apartment setups, track inventories, and work with volunteers to ensure timely donation distributions. Flexible hours including some evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest and support of Jannus’ mission.
• Experience in community relations and mobilizing community resources.
• Good working knowledge of private and public sector resources.
• Ability to work as a team with staff members.
• Understanding of challenges facing newly resettled refugees.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to show proof of insurance.
• Ability to pass criminal history and driving background checks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using a variety of social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop a network of community resources for resettlement goals (furniture, household items, cars, clothing).
• Solicit donations through partners and use social media to expand resources and partnerships.
• Manage donor phone communications and records of contacts and outcomes.
• Coordinate with ANA staff and partners for item delivery to refugee homes.
• Maintain storage and track item availability; coordinate monthly diaper pickups.
• Coordinate and pick up monthly donations from Amazon; ensure receipts and in-kind donation records.
