Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Retail Associate Production at College Park to support store operations. You will inspect donations, sort items, tag and stock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, welcoming sales floor.

No prior experience required; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work evenings/weekends, and pass a criminal background check. Join a team serving the community with Goodwill.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and raw material for quality to determine marketability.
• Sorts raw material - categorizes for store use, salvage, trash.
• Stands and tags donated items according to rotation system.
• Stands and hangs sorted goods for placement on the sales floor.
• Produces appropriate number of items each day according to minimum standards.
• Adheres to uniform dress code standards.
• Demonstrates an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Able to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Able to be cross trained in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Adheres to Assets Protection control and compliance procedures.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
