Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Retail Associate Production (Finance) to contribute to the mission in our retail store. You will maximize efficiency, maintain appearance, and support customer and associate satisfaction while processing donations for floor placement.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow safety and confidentiality guidelines. Evening/weekend availability and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and quality to determine marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sorts raw material and categorizes for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Tags donated items according to rotation system and stores procedures.
• Stacks and hangs sorted goods for floor placement based on productivity standards.
• Produces appropriate number of items daily according to minimum standards.
• Adheres to uniform dress code standards and maintains professional appearance.
• Communicates effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Works as a team member in a fast-paced environment and learns new procedures.
• Cross-trains in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Follows assets protection, safety, and security procedures.
