Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is hiring a Retail Associate Production at Lynnhaven Rd (Finance). You will help maximize store appearance, process donations promptly, and assist in placing items on the sales floor to support the mission.

All applicants should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with teammates, and pass a criminal background check. No prior experience is required, and evening/weekend shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination with work experience considered.
• No previous experience required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and raw material to determine marketability as per the Retail Operations Manual.
• Sorts raw material for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Tags donated items according to Goodwill's rotation system.
• Presents and places sorted goods on the sales floor following productivity standards.
• Produces appropriate number of items daily according to minimum standards.
• Adheres to uniform dress code and safety procedures.
• Communicates effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Works as a team member in a fast-paced environment and learns new procedures.
