Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is hiring for a team member role in Charlotte, NC. You’ll greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and help price merchandise. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and annual raises and bonuses.

This position involves indoor and outdoor work, standing, lifting up to 100+ pounds, and a team-focused environment with safety as a priority. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement (full-time).

Qualifications

• No experience required—training provided.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 100+ pounds).
• Able to follow safety procedures and work with a team.
• Capable of working indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and provide receipts.
• Sort, inspect, and price merchandise following safety guidelines.
• Move items to the sales floor and keep areas clean and organized.
• Load/unload donation trailers and handle custodial tasks.
• Track donation counts accurately and help maintain store cleanliness.
• Report safety or security concerns to management.
• Support team with additional duties as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and provide receipts.
• Sort, inspect, and price merchandise following safety and quality guidelines.
• Move items to the sales floor and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Load/unload donation trailers and handle custodial tasks throughout your shift.
• Track donation counts accurately and help maintain store cleanliness, including cart retrieval.
• Report any safety, theft, or security concerns to management.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
• You’ll be working indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements
