Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is hiring for an entry-level associate. You’ll greet donors, help unload donations, and provide receipts as part of a fast-paced team. No prior experience is required and full training is provided.

You’ll inspect and price merchandise, move items to the floor, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Expect active work indoors and outdoors, with lifting and other physical tasks, and opportunities for growth and advancement.

• This job keeps you active! Expect plenty of standing, walking, and using your hands. You'll often talk, reach, bend, kneel, push, and pull. Occasionally, you may climb or balance. Heavy lifting up to 100+ pounds—is part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and provide receipts.
• Sort, inspect, and price merchandise following safety and quality guidelines.
• Move items to the sales floor and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Load/unload donation trailers and handle custodial tasks throughout your shift.
• Track donation counts accurately and help maintain store cleanliness, including cart retrieval.
• Report any safety, theft, or security concerns to management.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
• You’ll be working indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements.
