Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont in Charlotte, NC, is hiring for a role that greets donors, assists with unloading donations, and provides receipts. No experience is required—we’ll provide training, and you’ll work indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements.

You’ll sort and price merchandise, move items to the sales floor, and perform custodial tasks. The job involves standing, lifting up to 100+ pounds, and offers growth through safety training and skill-building

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and provide receipts.
• Sort, inspect, and price merchandise following safety and quality guidelines.
• Move items to the sales floor and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Load/unload donation trailers and handle custodial tasks throughout the shift.
• Track donation counts accurately and help maintain store cleanliness, including cart retrieval.
• Report safety, theft, or security concerns to management.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
• Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements.
