Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is seeking a Store Associate to support donation intake, customer service, and merchandise processing in a retail environment. You will assist donors, sort textiles and hard goods, and help prepare items for transit while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include greeting donors, unloading donations, managing inventory, and accurately recording donations using the store laptop. A strong team ethic and reliable work habits are essential.

Qualifications

• Provide responsive and respectful service to donors and customers.
• Sort and process textiles, hard goods, and other donations.
• Assist with unloading donations from vehicles and preparing goods for transit.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Accurately complete donor receipts and required forms.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and politely within 30 seconds.
• Assist in unloading donations from vehicles.
• Sort textiles and inventory according to store criteria.
• Salvage, trash, and process items per policy.
• Prepare goods for transit and assist with truck arrivals.
• Maintain and track donations with laptop entry.
• Ensure accurate pricing with the pricing gun.
• Adhere to safety standards and report hazards.
