Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is hiring for a store associate in Crystal Lake. You will receive donations, provide outstanding customer service, and sort textiles, hard goods, and other merchandise for transit.

Responsibilities include greeting donors, assisting with unloading, educating on the Can’t Use list, and preparing goods for transit while maintaining a safe, clean retail environment. Weekend/evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with the public and customers.
• Ability to count, add, and subtract.
• Must be able to operate a pricing gun and price merchandise.
• Stand, bend, and lift for long periods; lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and politely (within 30 seconds).
• Assist in unloading vehicles and processing donations.
• Sort textiles, hard goods, and other merchandise according to store criteria.
• Prepare goods for transit and ensure proper handling and safety.
