Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a friendly Donation Door Attendant to greet donors, record donations, and help sort items for processing. The role supports efficient store operations and maintains a welcoming front-line presence.

The position emphasizes customer service, attention to safety, and teamwork in a busy retail environment. It offers full-time hourly work with benefits and opportunities to contribute to the nonprofit mission of Goodwill in Southwest Florida.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail and/or stock handling preferred.
• Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; independently lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds.
• Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
• Able to see and recognize colors.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors warmly and receive, record, and sort donations in accordance with Kaizen guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Goodwill as a front-line team member.
• Assist with processing, cleaning, and preparing merchandise to support efficient store operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe donation and work areas, completing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
