Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee in Smyrna seeks a Donation Express Attendant to support daily donations. You will greet donors, issue receipts, unload donations, and sort items for safe handling.

You will keep the DEC area clean and organized, help with daily donation summaries, and communicate donor counts to supervision. The role requires lifting over 50 lbs, reliable transportation, and friendly, professional conduct.

Qualificações

• 1 year of experience working with the public is desired.
• Must be able to lift/carry over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to push/pull loads of over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform simple addition for paperwork.
• Must understand acceptable vs unacceptable donations and communicate this to donors.
• Must provide for own transportation to all DEC centers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate to clients and employees.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hospitality and high level customer service to donors, issue receipts, greet donors promptly and cheerfully, and handle donations with care and gratitude.
• Be prompt and consistent in attendance; open/close DEC site on schedule.
• Decline donations graciously when appropriate per policy.
• Sort and secure donations as directed by DEC leadership.
• Record donations and assist with daily donation summaries.
• Communicate DEC activity by calling in donor counts daily.
• Organize DEC supplies and report needs or hazards to supervisors.
• Assist transportation staff with sweeps and trailer exchanges as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe DEC site and surrounding area.
• Attend mandatory DEC meetings and distribute information about Goodwill.
