Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida is seeking an entry-level, part-time Retail Associate at Fern Park, FL 32730. Under the direction of the General Manager, you will receive, sort, and display donations, greet donors, and provide friendly, efficient customer service on the sales floor.

High School education or equivalent is preferred; previous retail experience is highly preferred. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc).

Responsibilities

• Polite and professional receipt of donations and issuing receipts.
• Rotate stock on a timely basis and bring stock to sales floor.
• Place and present merchandise on racks and shelves per policies.
• Sort, box and label hangers by type.
• Assist in textile color rotation per procedure.
• Greet customers with a courteous, friendly and professional attitude and provide prompt service.
• Direct customers to proper area and provide information as requested.
• Monitor for shoplifting and notify management of suspicious activity.
• Maintain clean and safe sales floor and production area.
• Maintain well groomed appearance and dress code.
