Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida in Fern Park, FL seeks an entry-level Retail Associate. Under the General Manager, you’ll greet customers and donors, process donations, issue receipts, assist with lifting, and maintain the stockroom and display areas.

Candidates should have friendly customer service skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds; prior retail or stock experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
• Receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts; assist customers with lifting items.
• Sort donations as they arrive into proper carts or bins; determine quality of donations.
• Sort and price hard goods (wares).
• Keep production area clean and safe; maintain appearance and dress code.
• Provide general information to customers/donors; assist processors when needed.
