Job summary

San Diego Goodwill is seeking an on-site Donation Center Attendant to welcome donors and process donations at standalone or storefront locations. You will ensure excellent customer service and accurate donation receipts while maintaining clean, organized facilities.

The role involves opening/closing shifts, processing donations, basic administration, and collaboration with dispatch and truck teams to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months to one year customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes assigned donation center site, as scheduled, according to department guidelines.
• Accepts donations per guidelines and greets donors, provides assistance, and issues receipts.
• Keeps the site clean and organized; manages trailers and maintains the Unattended Donation Center if applicable.
• Completes daily administrative tasks, including counts of donors, donations, and tally sheets.
• Safeguards donations and company property from damage or theft.
• Communicates supply needs, safety concerns, and unusual situations to the Supervisor or Coordinator.
• Loads donations into bins and assists with transporting donations to Goodwill trucks.
• Communicates daily with Dispatch about product volumes and transportation needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
