Job summary

Goodwill Industries of San Joaquin in California is seeking a Donation Attendant to warmly greet donors and process donations in a fast-paced store environment. You will sort, tag, and move items, and ensure accurate donor records and receipts while following agency policies.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, handling E-Waste in compliance with CA recycling rules, maintaining a safe workspace, and performing occasional janitorial duties or processing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Elementary education required.
• Six months customer service or six months material handling desirable.
• Ability to interact courteously with the public.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of handling electronic waste and CA recycling requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists donors with superior customer service.
• Accepts or rejects donations based on item condition and agency policy.
• Records donor information and counts electronically.
• Handles donated materials safely to maximize value.
• Loads and unloads trailers safely.
• Sorts, stacks, and moves donations to proper staging areas.
