Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a friendly Retail Donation Attendant for our Cape Girardeau store - Silver Springs team. This hourly, part-time position offers a pay rate of $15.50 per hour plus a monthly bonus of up to $250, and requires no degree.

You will help donors, sort donations, and provide excellent customer service while upholding store standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and professional appearance, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, greet donors and assist with donation drop-off.
• Handle donated goods with care and respect.
• Sort donations into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, and trash.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain store area cleanliness and stock as needed.
• Uphold dress code and maintain professional appearance.
• Safeguard agency assets and report any theft.
