Job summary

MERS Goodwill in Shawnee, KS is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant to join our store team. The position is hourly, part-time, and focuses on friendly customer service, processing donations, and keeping the sales floor clean and organized.

You will handle donations with care, assist donors, and follow safety procedures while contributing to a positive shopping experience. Eligible employees receive medical/dental/vision benefits, a monthly bonus up to $250, PTO, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse population.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings and donation drop-off assistance.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased items into categories per guidelines.
• Notify management of hazardous or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize shelves and floors.
• Uphold safety standards and dress code, with professional appearance.
