Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant to join the store team. The role provides friendly donor service, sorts donations, stocks shelves, and keeps the shop clean while following safety and security rules.

Hourly rate is $15.50 with a monthly bonus up to $250. No degree is required; HS diploma preferred. This part-time role offers flexible schedules and a mission-driven environment that supports community impact.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash, according to established guidelines.
• Notifies management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
