Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley in Hampstead, Maryland, is hiring to lead an excellent customer and brand experience. You will receive and process donations, label items, assist in loading furniture, and maintain store organization per standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Accepts all donations from customers, providing outstanding customer service.
• Label Gaylords correctly.
• Ensure receipts are offered to donors.
• Inquire about hazardous donations and provide disposal locations.
• Write up sales tickets and sold signs for furniture and large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading furniture or items.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization per PPM standards.
• Assist in loading/unloading onto/off trucks or trailers as needed.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspection on equipment and follow safety rules.
• Provide floor care at retail store as needed.
• Cross train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
