Crisis Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Domestic Violence Case Manager to join our Advocate Department’s Case Management and Prevention Team. The role focuses on crisis intervention, advocacy, case management and linkages with law enforcement and the district attorney’s office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human services, public health, social work or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 months’ relevant work experience in domestic/family violence response or prevention.
• Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, public awareness and crisis intervention services.
• Clear and calm judgment focused on survivors and ability to maintain ethical boundaries with clients.
• Skilled in strategic and diplomatic collaboration.
• Compassion, discretion and understanding for clients.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, case management, advocacy and follow-up services to survivors of domestic/family violence.
• Provide personal and criminal justice advocacy and accompaniment for survivors.
• Coordinate linkages between law enforcement, district attorney’s office and other community-based agencies.
