Crisis Center for South Suburbia is seeking a Domestic Violence Advocate to provide crisis intervention, residential client services, and administrative support in a shelter environment. The role includes answering the 24-hour crisis hotline, conducting intakes, coordinating referrals, and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis intervention or shelter settings preferred.
• Ability to conduct intakes and provide referrals to community resources.

Responsibilities

• Answer the 24-hour crisis hotline with crisis intervention and referrals.
• Complete agency intakes and coordinate shelter referrals.
• Document hotline activity and client interactions accurately.
• Monitor safety through entry control and client check-ins.
• Facilitate group sessions and trauma-informed care for residents.
• Assist with shelter operations, cleanliness, and organization.
• Support staff through training and supervision as required.
