SAAFE House seeks a part-time Residential Advocate to work on the residential team assisting victims of family violence and sexual assault. You will provide intervention, intake, shelter access, and advocacy services to help clients recover and regain stability.

Responsibilities include crisis line response, safety planning, coordinating medical and transportation needs, and supporting legal information access. Confidentiality and crisis sensitivity are essential.

Qualificações

• Bilingual preferred
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance as required by state law (TX)

Responsabilidades

• Respond to 24-hour crisis line and provide intervention and support services
• Assist with intake for eligible victims
• Provide access to shelter and related services
• Orient shelter operations, policies, and security measures
• Provide personal advocacy including basic needs and access to communications
• Meet weekly for safety planning and goal setting
• Coordinate access to medical care and transportation
• Link clients to legal resources and civil/criminal justice information
• Support client budgeting, trauma education, healthy relationships, parenting, and addiction resources
• Collaborate with volunteers to deliver shelter support services
• Maintain client confidentiality and shelter security
• Document daily client activities and program metrics
• Attend team meetings and trainings relevant to performance
• Assist with community relations and grant reporting
• Handle data entry and file maintenance
• Provide flexible on-call transportation support
• Provide lodging for survivors when needed
• Engage clients in crisis recovery and healthy communication
• Identify safety issues and maintain inventory for food/resources
• Ensure facility safety and maintenance
