Job summary

Katmai is seeking a logistics professional to support the DTRA warehousing program at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will ensure the effective management, accountability, and readiness of GFE, CAP, and CME to safeguard government information systems.

This full-time role requires coordinating with training, operations, procurement, and finance, maintaining 100% accountability, handling Purchase Requests, and liaising with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with six to eight years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with two to five years of relevant experience.
• DoD Secret clearance before start (U.S. Citizenship typically required).
• Experience with commercial carriers (FedEx/UPS) for normal and special shipments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security access and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Update logistical processes and integrate current industry standards, ensuring accountability, transportation, and lifecycle management of equipment.
• Maintain 100% accountability for all equipment, materials, and parts.
• Support logistical program requirements with cross-functional teams (training, operations, procurement, finance).
• Maintain chain-of-custody documentation for transfer and possession of government/contractor equipment.
• Track and report Purchase Requests with COR and Budget Analyst, including shipment status.
• Assist Government Logistics Specialist with GFE and CME management.
• Develop and maintain operational and maintenance logistics plans with actionable recommendations.
• Liaise with vendors, freight/shipping, and government personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve logistical issues and maintain readiness.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
