Job summary

Systems Technology Forum is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to provide technical and direct support for DoD-level network infrastructure in Hawaii. The role focuses on C2 systems, virtualization, and security posture, including patching, backups, and incident response.

You will serve as the technical POC for mission-system programs and ensure uptime through proactive maintenance and exercises. Candidates should have DoD experience, 5+ years in network engineering, and familiarity with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, cybersecurity or STEM.
At least five years supporting DoD/network infrastructure.
Experience with Maritime Operation Centers and Data Fusion Centers.
Experience with Joint Range Application C / Link 16 protocols.
At least one year in C2 system architecture.
Twelve months with MS Office products and related software.

Responsibilities

Provides system administration, integration and application support for mission systems.
Serves as technical POC on behalf of mission system programs offices.
Tracks systems asset lifecycles and plans per program office guidance.
Provides technical guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, trains technicians.
Collaborates with IA coordinators and network admins for security compliance.
Performs regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
Manages VMware environments and NetApp storage to ensure uptime.
Supports procurement, budgeting and renewals for VMware/NetApp assets.
