Job summary

SOSi seeks a Systems Administrator for Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. You will maintain and secure DoD-compliant IT systems, support USINDOPACOM operations, and work across Windows/Linux servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server and VDI environments.

Responsibilities include monitoring, incident response, documentation, and user/training support. This role may require non-traditional hours and travel within the AOR.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant requirement.
• Server Administration certification (Microsoft or Linux) at hire.
• 6+ years in systems administration, security operations or enterprise IT.
• Broad knowledge of Windows/Linux OS and security config.
• Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, WSUS.
• Experience with VDI/virtualization: Citrix/VMware/Azure/Hypver-V/Nutanix.
• Knowledge of STIGs and DoD security guidelines.
• Familiarity with HCI and authentication protocols.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments and 24/7 ops.

Responsibilities

• Monitor server environment, measure performance, report status.
• Troubleshoot server systems and related components.
• Respond to server incidents and core services.
• Document incidents, root cause, and service requests.
• Coordinate with internal/ external teams and partners.
• Ensure DoD-compliant security for solution components.
• Develop and update system documentation and accreditation.
• Provide guidance and training to admins and staff.
• Deliver status updates to management and Government customer.
