Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) in Honolulu, HI seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot a broad range of DoD networks and security architectures. You will support the C2S2 environment, coordinate outages, and generate after-action reports to ensure mission readiness.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, DoD network experience, and hands-on work with Cisco/Firepower/ACI/ISE, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, ACAS, and ServiceNow. On-site with occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Active TS w/ SCI Eligibility.
• Must meet DoDM 8410.03 intermediate proficiency.
• Must hold one of the listed 8570 IAT-II certs or CCNA.
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches and Firepower.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and VMware NSX.
• Experience with SPLUNK, ACAS, WhatUpGold.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments.
• Configure and deploy devices with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate planned outages and generate after-action reports.
• Maintain security, access control, and incident management.
• Produce diagrams and SOPs for troubleshooting and ops continuity.
