Job summary

Peraton seeks a Junior Mid-Level Systems Engineer to provide enterprise-focused engineering support to a DoD customer from Fort Meade. You will help ensure the technical integrity and quality of work products across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree with substitutions as allowed) and six years of systems engineering experience, or ten years with a HS diploma. An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s or PhD may substitute for two years. A high school diploma or GED plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of work products in ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.
• Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
• Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives and make preliminary recommendations.
• Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design.
• Contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manages system requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with DoDAF/DoSOA.
