Job summary

Peraton seeks a Junior-Level Systems Engineer to provide enterprise-focused engineering support to a DoD customer from Fort Meade, MD. You will ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas, coordinating with program personnel and executives.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and a bachelor’s degree in a related field with four years of systems engineering experience. Enhanced benefits and PTO are offered as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline with four years of systems engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities and prepare multiple work products in Project and Technical Process Areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288.
• Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
• Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
• Analyze technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
• Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project's technical design.
• Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with the defined system architecture (DoDAF, SOA).
• Assist with the allocation of the same to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.

Master’s degree substitution for 1 year experience

PhD substitution for 3 years experience
