Job summary

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator Professional to support the Space Force Range Contract. You will configure and manage Windows and Linux servers, and oversee network gear, with a focus on reliability and DoD compliance.

You will work with cybersecurity to apply STIGs, maintain ATO, and provide Tier 1–2 support while participating in testing and documentation tasks. Travel occasionally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or related field with 3+ years of IT experience or 7 years progressive sysadmin experience.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required or higher.
• Strong Windows and Linux experience with AD/DNS/DHCP and virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers/workstations.
• Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Provide Tier 1–2 technical support and escalation handling.
• Monitor systems, perform backups, and maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to implement STIGs and RMF-based ATO.
• Write procedures and reports to support new or existing processes.
