Job summary

Avarint, LLC is seeking a full-time, onsite System Administrator to support DoD programs. The SA will implement and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows IS, ensure RMF, STIGs, and NISPOM compliance, and contribute to security documentation and incident response.

The role requires 2+ years of DoD security experience, an Associate degree or higher in a related field, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance. Occasional after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of DoD security experience or equivalent.
• Experience with NISPOM, DAAG, or RMF (SP 800-53).
• Knowledge of DISA STIGs or SRGs and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Configure, support, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows IS in varied environments.
• Ensure systems are operated and disposed of per security policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP) and related artefacts.
• Assist with account management documentation and periodic reviews.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, configuration assessments, and remediation.
• Respond to IS incidents and participate in security awareness activities.
