Job summary

Leidos' Defense Systems is seeking a Program Manager to lead a large Army acquisition program within the Indirect Fire Protection Capability/Force Protection Business Area. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop schedules and budgets, and manage risk while serving as the primary contact for DoD clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 12–15 years of defense-industry experience, or Master's with 10–13 years.
• Proven prototype development, test, and support equipment experience.
• Strong technical background in engineering and manufacturing principles.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage complex programs.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a diverse team.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication for DoD stakeholders.
• Experience with government contracts and regulations.
• U.S. citizen and ability to maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Resident of Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day management of a large Army acquisition program.
• Coordinate and oversee project activities aligned with program goals.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as primary point of contact for DoD clients, subcontractors, stakeholders.
• Support risk management plan development and execution.
• Prepare program status reports and briefings for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with DoD regulations and policies.
• Foster collaboration within the program team and cross-functional groups.
• Ability to orchestrate cross functional teams to ensure high quality solutions from conception to launch.
