Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead a large Army acquisition program within the Indirect Fire Protection/Force Protection area. The role requires directing day-to-day program activities, coordinating schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams, and serving as the primary liaison with DoD clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 12–15 years in defense, or Master's with 10–13 years in defense.
• Experience in prototype development, test and support equipment development, and operations and maintenance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to lead a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day management of a large Army acquisition program.
• Coordinate and oversee project activities aligned with program goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
• Act as the primary point of contact for DoD clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Support the development and execution of risk management plans.
• Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior management and DoD clients.
• Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the program team.
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions from conception to launch.
