Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Portfolio Manager to join our Indirect Fire Protection Capability/Force Protection Business Area. You will lead program teams, interface with customers, and ensure the highest quality of service while driving future opportunities.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business with 12+ years of relevant experience (or a Master’s with 10+). DoD clearance is required; residency in North Alabama or relocation to Huntsville area is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field with 12+ years of experience or Masters with 10+ years.
• Experience building strategic relationships with customers and industry leaders.
• Experience leading development or production teams delivering hardware/software solutions.
• 12+ years leading cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and group meetings with program teams to check status and guide issues.
• Interface with customers to develop relationships and drive future opportunities.
• Provide business expertise to proposals aligning with mission, financial, and division objectives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners (engineering, finance, contracts, growth, supply chain).
• Provide solutions to deficiencies in planning and execution of the portfolio.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and execution.
