Job summary
Aviation Systems Engineering Company in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to implement, troubleshoot, and sustain secure network systems supporting Navy Live, Virtual, and Constructive training. You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN connections, and work with senior engineering, cybersecurity, and government teams.
The role requires at least 6 years of network experience, a STEM bachelor's, the ability to read network diagrams, and active DoD Top Secret
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a network engineer or technician; STEM degree may substitute.
- Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Able to read network diagrams, rack elevations, and installation documentation.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required or equivalent eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Implement, troubleshoot, and sustain secure network solutions for Navy LVC training.
- Configure, deploy, and support routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and LAN/WAN.
- Review diagrams, rack elevations, cable schedules, and installation drawings for accuracy.
- Support installation/integration of equipment and verify against documentation.
- Travel up to 25% annually.
