Job summary

HII Mission Technologies seeks an experienced Network Communications professional to support U.S. Navy mission readiness by ensuring robust, secure network operations across training environments.

You will monitor, install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VPN, coordinate with Navy and DISA, and maintain IA compliance. The role requires DoD Secret clearance and a DoD 8570 IAT II baseline, with shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years with a Master's degree in a related field.
• 9+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain LANs, WANs, and VPNs for reliable performance.
• Plan, install, configure, and reconfigure network hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot WAN/LAN issues including circuits, devices, and ACLs.
• Coordinate with Navy, DISA, and circuit providers for implementation and resolution.
• Maintain Information Assurance compliance and firewall verification.
• Support remote sites in restoring network operations after outages.
• Prepare and maintain network documentation and configuration records.
• Monitor performance and provide short- and long-term improvement recommendations.
• Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment as needed.
• Design network solutions to meet evolving operational needs.
• Work periodic shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
