Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer for our Honolulu, HI site. You will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot an extensive Cisco-based network across multiple enclaves with varying security classifications, acting as SME for C2S2 networks.

You will lead projects, perform STIG validations, manage devices like Cisco ASA/Firepower, ACI, ISE, and coordinate with developers to build workflows in ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Meets DoD 8140.03-M intermediate proficiency.
• Must hold ONE of the listed 8570 IAT-II certifications.
• Current CCNP certification required.
• Minimum 5 years DoD network engineering experience or 8 years total.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments with Cisco products.
• Manage F5, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, and ServiceNow components.
• Lead projects with minimal oversight and ensure devices are patched and secure.
• Perform STIG validations and use ACAS to monitor security posture.
• Collaborate with developers to create workflows in ServiceNow.
• Configure and reconfigure network applications; manage LAN/WAN and security.
• Produce detailed network diagrams and monthly COR-TA reports; lifecycle management.
