Abacus Technology is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Fort Cavazos. This is a full-time position located at Fort Cavazos, TX.

The role requires 1+ years in help desk, HS diploma/GED, and A+ or Network+ certification with DoD 8570 IAT I compliance. Candidate should have experience with Windows OS, deploying IT hardware, and strong customer service skills. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience providing help desk support.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Must be A+ or Network+ certified (or equivalent). DoD 8570 IAT I compliant.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for systems and releases of varying levels of complexity.
• Resolve reported problems in a timely manner and track/escalate as needed.
• Communicate resolutions and information to customer groups and support teams.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printers, and network connectivity issues.
• Set up new desktop users.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops and printers.
• Explain technical and business issues to non-technical users.
• Monitor and resolve issues via the ticketing system.
