Abacus Technology is seeking a Computer Technician to provide hands-on technical support at Fort Cavazos for the Army Test and Evaluation Command. This full-time role emphasizes deskside resolution of hardware and software issues, asset management, and coordination with System Administrators to keep IT resources accessible for end users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical support role.
• HS diploma or GED.
• A+ or Network+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT I certification.
• Experience installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining software, hardware, configurations, and peripherals.
• US citizen with a current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 deskside incident resolution for workstations, printers, and peripherals.
• Configure and deliver ITR requests on COs.
• Monitor and respond to hardware and software issues using various tools and techniques.
• Assist with network hardware and maintain system readiness for end users.
• Document task responses, labor, and material usage; manage asset inventory.
