Job summary

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to support NSWC Indian Head in Indian Head, MD. The role covers recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.

The candidate must manage HR processes, prepare documents, and assist with policy guidance. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least two years in HR within a federal

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HR, management, business administration, or other relevant fields.
• Two years of recent experience in analyzing, managing, and improving major aspects of HR in a Federal Agency environment.
• A High School Diploma or GED with three years of related experience may substitute for the Associate’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills; DoD/Navy HR processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support managers and employees in recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.
• Inputting/extracting data, preparing personnel actions, assisting with performance objectives and position descriptions.
• Prepare career ladder requirements and correspondence according to Navy guidance.
• Maintain calendars and appointments in Outlook; handle scanning, filing, and communications.
