Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to support NSWC Indian Head in Indian Head, MD. The role covers recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.

• Two years of recent experience in analyzing, managing, and improving major aspects of HR in a Federal Agency environment.
• A High School Diploma or GED with three years of related experience may substitute for the Associate’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills; DoD/Navy HR processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support managers and employees in recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.
• Inputting/extracting data, preparing personnel actions, assisting with performance objectives and position descriptions.
• Prepare career ladder requirements and correspondence according to Navy guidance.
• Maintain calendars and appointments in Outlook; handle scanning, filing, and communications.

RMC is hiring aHuman Resource Specialist to support our customer at NSWC Indian Head, in Indian Head, MD. The selected applicant shall provide professional assistance to managers and employees in various personnel areas of human resources to include: recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, employee benefits, labor relations, and employee relations. Tasks include:

• Inputting/extracting/compiling information in/from various data systems, preparing and routing personnel actions, assisting managers with writing performance objectives/expectations, position descriptions, and addendums.
• Preparing career ladder requirements for the different job series in the office, preparing and updating letters and correspondence with proper grammar and formatting following guidance outlined in the Navy Correspondence Manual.
• Creating and maintaining multiple appointments, meeting requests, and calendars in Microsoft Outlook.
• Copying and filing, scanning documents, answering phone calls and visitors appropriately, or taking messages as necessary.
• Assisting specialists within the office on human resources-related tasks.

• An Associate's degree in human resources, management, business administration, or other relevant fields. Two (2) years of recent experience in analyzing, managing, and improving major aspects of human resources, organizational processes, and functions, with a minimum of one (1) year in a Federal Agency environment. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and three (3) years of experience may be substituted for the Associate’s degree.

• The selected applicant must have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of DoD and Navy processes, specifically related to Human Resources, is preferred.

• Security Clearance:An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current annual salary range for this position will be $55,000 to $60,000.
