Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer, AWS GovCloud to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud environments for U.S. government missions. You will protect data across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and hybrid multi-clouds, aligning with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD standards.

The role emphasizes RBAC, Zero Trust, SIEM, vulnerability testing, and secure CI/CD with IaC. On-site in Playa Vista, CA, you will collaborate with DevSecOps and security teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required and able to obtain government clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in cloud security engineering.
• 5–9+ years of cloud security engineering experience in multi-clouds.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov, and Google Cloud as applicable.
• Maintain compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD ILs through automation and reviews.
• Configure IAM/RBAC, JIT access, encryption, and Zero Trust across environments.
• Deploy security tools (Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, SIEM) for threat detection and response.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop SSP/SAR/POAM documents and risk reporting for cloud ops.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to embed security in CI/CD using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Guide incident response, Investigate IoCs, and drive preventive controls.
• On-site presence required 5 days/week at Playa Vista, CA.
