Job summary

Credence in McLean, VA, is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support federal programs hosted on AWS GovCloud. You will lead a small team, drive secure infrastructure, and own CI/CD pipelines to enhance security, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical applications.

The role requires strong DevSecOps expertise, government-grade compliance knowledge (NIST RMF, 800-171/53), and hands-on engineering across Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Kubernetes, and cloud security services.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Security+ and AWS Certified Security credentials.
• 7+ years in DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Extensive experience with AWS GovCloud and compliance frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-171/53).
• Experience implementing automated security testing (SAST/DAST) and SBOM management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a team of ~5 DevSecOps engineers.
• Lead hands-on engineering for secure IaC, automation, and deployments.
• Own on-call incidents, root cause analysis, and incident response.
• Design and maintain secure AWS GovCloud architectures for DoD/Civilian apps.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, and Terraform.
