Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure cloud environments in support of U.S. government missions.

You will work across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and multi-cloud setups to meet NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL requirements, while protecting sensitive data and enabling mission success. Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5–9+ years of cloud security engineering with hands-on multi-cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and Google Cloud as needed.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD IL-4/IL-5; manage risk and security assessments.
• Configure and manage IAM/RBAC, JIT access, encryption, and Zero Trust across cloud environments.
• Deploy and optimize cloud-native security tools (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, AWS GovCloud services).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, PoCs, and continuous monitoring; develop SSP/SAR/POA&M artifacts.
