Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client in Utah. You will design data solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry, modify data models, define tests, and build reports from ERP datasets.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs and ensure the solutions meet business needs. Required: 2+ years in development, SQL, Python, PySpark, Databricks, and a CS/CE/EE degree with an Active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark.
• Experience in data engineering, data science and data analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Familiarity with database design and architecture; relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and participate in discussions.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture: AWS/Azure.
• Competence with software engineering tools (estimation, issue tracking, version control, debugging).
• Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Proven experience in knowledge sharing (code reviews, documentation).
• Driven, self-directed personality with a mission focus.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE and Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design new solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements.
• Modify existing data model solutions as needed.
• Define test cases and verify results to ensure solutions work as designed.
• Build data models and reports from ERP and legacy system datasets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to determine reporting requirements and convert to specs.
