Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client. The role focuses on designing data solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, PySpark) and Palantir Foundry to deliver capabilities meeting business functional requirements.

You'll build data models and reports from ERP and legacy systems, and coordinate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications. The position requires active Secret clearance and strong independent-work orientation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Pyspark.
• Experience in data engineering, data science and data analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks and database design.
• Active Secret Clearance and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design new solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements.
• Design modifications to existing data models as needed.
• Define test cases and verify results to ensure functionality.
• Build data models and reports from ERP and legacy systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specs.
