Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support DoD missions. The ISSO will guide RMF implementation, assurance requirements, and system security configurations across mission-critical systems.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, 10+ years in DoD cybersecurity, and a Master’s or higher. Travel to government/contractor locations may be required, with a collaborative team environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years DoD experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or information systems security.
• Active TS/SCI clearance eligibility and ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• Master's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, MIS, Engineering or related field; CASP+/SecurityX or higher.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a SME in DoD RMF, cybersecurity, cyber engineering, and information assurance.
• Provide technical guidance and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues; implement proactive solutions.
• Support RMF security controls throughout the system lifecycle.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure DoD policy compliance.
• Support government and industry program activities, including travel as required.
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contribute to process improvement and mission success.
