Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst seated on site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on crafting RMF A&A packages, continuous monitoring, and testing to secure cutting-edge systems.

An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required, US citizenship is necessary. The candidate will author DoD cybersecurity artifacts, apply STIGs/NSA guidance, perform vulnerability testing, and support risk assessments across multiple security levels.

Qualifications

• Two years of program-specific security engineering experience or five years general security engineering.
• Two years on Combat Weapons Systems experience in Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or other Navy afloat tactical systems; IAT Level II or III per DoD 8570.01.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies for land-based and afloat systems; ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document a system from a cybersecurity perspective using MS Word, Excel and Visio.
• Apply DISA STIGs and NSA recommendations.
• Identify gaps between built specifications, security requirements and DoD policies and propose compliant solutions.
• Perform vulnerability tests using manual techniques and ACAS.
