Job summary

Leidos is seeking proactive Cyber Security Analysts to join a 24x7 frontline SOC responsible for defending DoD networks against sophisticated threats. You will investigate alerts, analyze extensive logs, and coordinate with incident response to communicate incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM.

Ideal candidates hold a DoD Secret clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, and goal-oriented CSSP-Analyst readiness within 180 days; relocation to Scott AFB, IL is supported as needed.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher).
• CSSP-Analyst certification within 180 days of hire.
• Solid networking fundamentals and packet analysis.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; equivalent military experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and triage security alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, NetFlow, and custom sensors.
• Analyze logs, pivot across datasets, and document detailed incident findings.
• Monitor threat intel feeds and IOCs; integrate into SIEM platforms.
• Coordinate with incident response and communicate security incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM.
