Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, or GSEC).
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP-A Level Certification within 180 days of hire.
• Strong networking foundation including packet analysis, OSI model, and defense-in-depth security.

Responsibilities

• Investigate alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, NetFlow, and sensors to detect compromises.
• Analyze large log files, pivot datasets, and correlate evidence for detailed incident reports.
• Triage security alerts to identify malicious actors targeting networks.
• Monitor DoD and open-source feeds for IOCs and integrate into SIEMs and sensors.
• Report incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM with timely, coordinated communication.
