Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a 24x7 security operations team defending DoD networks. You will analyze real-time threat intelligence, correlate events, and conduct deep packet analysis to identify and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities include monitoring SOC alerts, coordinating with incident response, and reporting to customers and USCYBERCOM. Qualifications include DoD clearance, IAT II, and CSSP-A readiness within 180 days.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert (e.g., Security+, SSCP, GSEC).
• Ability to obtain CSSP-A Level cert within 180 days of hire.
• Strong networking knowledge incl. packet analysis, OSI model, and traffic flow.
• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year experience or 3+ years for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Investigate alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, NetFlow to detect compromises.
• Analyze logs, pivot between datasets, and produce detailed reports.
• Triage security alerts to quickly identify malicious actors.
• Monitor DoD and Open-Source feeds for IOCs and SIEM integration.
• Report incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM with timely updates.
